Prof Chris Evans - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
Chris is a terrestrial and aquatic biogeochemist with a particular interest in the sources, transport and fate of organic carbon in rivers, lakes and coastal waters. He is based at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology but holds a visiting professorship at SLU Uppsala. Dr Martyn Futter - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Martyn is a water quality modeller working on surface water eutrophication issues. He has experience simulating the effects of climate- and land use change on water quality, as well the effects of climate change on hydrological extremes Dr Sofia Hjalmarsson - DHI Sverige Sofia is a chemical oceanographer working with environmental issues in the ocean, including work in administrations, research and consultancy. In recent years she has worked mainly with the Water Framework Directive, using fate modelling and ecological modelling to evaluate effects and consequences on marine water quality from discharge of substances. Dr Sara Jutterström - IVL Svenska Miljöinstitutet Sara is a biogeochemist with experience in both marine and surface water systems with focus on carbon and nutrient cycling. She has extensive field work experience both from marine expeditions and monitoring of fresh waters. Dr Dolly Kothawala - Uppsala University Dolly is an expert on the characterisation and processing of dissolved organic matter in aquatic systems, from rivers to the deep ocean. Her research focuses primarily on ecological questions related to the biogeochemical cycling of DOM in freshwaters and soils, and secondly in relation to applied questions aimed at improving drinking water quality. Dr Filip Moldan - IVL Svenska Miljöinstitutet Filip is a hydrogeologist, geochemist and ecosystem effects modeller who has been working on surface water acidification and eutrophication, N, C and P cycling and effects of air pollution, climate change and land use on soils and waters for nearly 30 years. Dr Mike Peacock - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Mike is a biogeochemist researching carbon and greenhouse gas cycling in ponds, rivers, lakes and ditches. He also works on peatlands, with an interest in management and restoration. Dr Johanna Stadmark - IVL Svenska Miljöinstitutet Johanna is a limnologist who works with nutrient removal and carbon cycling processes in coastal zones and freshwater systems. She also works with acidification assessments of Swedish lakes and streams and nutrient flows on land. |
